Coffin Hop

Welcome all ghouls, zombies, vampires and creatures of the night. Whether you enjoy the genre, love the season, or just want to immerse yourself in the feel of the season, you are sure to find something for everyone with the amount of blogs involved in this hop. So, pull up a chair, grab something to drink and enjoy the hop.

First, here's a bit about the hop:

COFFIN HOP is the annual Horror Author event, geared towards gaining exposure for indie horror and genre authors, and increasing interaction with fans and readers. Conceived in 2011 by authors Axel Howerton and Julie Jansen, COFFIN HOP was initially intended to be a small answer to the proliferation of author blog hops for Romance, Erotica and other genres while noticing a dearth of well-organized, high profile events for horror writers.

The first annual COFFIN HOP bloomed to over 100 authors and brought in thousands of readers and fans over the week leading up to Halloween. Every one of those 100 authors held contests, gave away e-books, paperbacks, prize packages, autographed copies, toys, personalized writings, videos, themed jewellery, movie posters… the list goes on and on and on.

This year, we want to take COFFIN HOP to a whole new level. In addition to the week-long event (running October 24-31, 2012), we will be releasing a collection of some of the best stories from our best author-members. Exclusive to our collection COFFIN HOP 2012: DEATH BY DRIVE-IN are stories from C.W LaSart (Ad Nauseum), Red Tash (Troll or Derby, This Brilliant Darkness), Jessica McHugh (Rabbits in the Garden, Torn Realities), Dan Dillard (Demons and Other Inconveniences), Erik Gustafson (Fall Leaves and the Black Dragon) and many more.  Mad B-Movie tales of Drive-In derivation, including: Brains from Space! The best part is, all profits from COFFIN HOP 2012: DEATH BY DRIVE-IN will be donated to www.readingtree.org to help encourage literacy.
